I can’t believe I haven’t posted since Oct 1st. An all time slacker record I think. So what been happening then? Well we are back home from our months holiday overseas. A good time was had by Ian, Cameron and I in London, Cornwall, Paris and Perpignan. So here are just some photos of the trip.
On the plane from Wellington to Auckland
At Auckland International Airport
Chillin at LAX while they sort their crap out after the shooting that happened just before we landed.
Richmond Park, London
The view of Windsor Castle from Legoland
Salisbury Cathedral (AMAZING)
The Water Wheel Inn – St Austell
The Eden Project – Cornwall
Tewksbury cottage – Lulworth Cove
The London Eye
The London Film Museum
Hemingford Grey Manor, Cambridgeshire (setting for the Children of the Greene Knowe books by Lucy Boston (and also well-known quiltmaker).
Houses of Parliament (recommend the tour, very interesting!!)
First ride on a double decker!!
Natural History Museum
The Tardis – outside Earls Court Underground Station
Squirrels at Kensington Gardens.
Perpignan town centre
Canet-en-Roussillon – the sea wall where the memorial is for the 7 who were killed 27th Nov 2008 (note all the flags at half-mast for the ceremony).
The boat we went on out to the crash site 7km from shore (plus the lifeboats that accompanied us).
needless to say it was freezing!!
It was snowing on the hills surrounding Canet the day we were there.
I will try to load up some more photos later, but think that will do for now.
