I did mean to post again yesterday but still didn’t get around to it. Mostly because at night I’m on my tablet and all my pics are stored on the big computer and sometimes someone else is hogging the big computer (just saying).
So here I am, 12 days after my last post. I had a birthday, it was awesome! I had a party, it was even awesomer :-) Although as the party was so big there were people there that I didn’t even really get a chance to talk to. So lesson learned, lots of small parties are better than a big one. We decorated the house, inside and out, with bunting.
Lilly and I even wore dresses, as did many of our friends.
I was really spoilt with pressies from my friends and family. Ian got my what I really wanted, which was a seat in the sun
A few weeks ago the chair in the pics was just a mess of rotten wood and rusty cast iron. It was a present that Ian bought me about 12 years ago (maybe more), now it’s not only returned to its former glory, it’s better than when it was new as it now has hardwood instead of a soft untreated wood for the seat. This beauty is now out on the porch and whenever it’s nice and sunny I can be found there reading a book (sitting close to my beautiful lavender plants, thanks Mum).
I’ve done a bit of sewing, both clothing and quilts, here’s a bunch of pics of both…
Shorts for the boy, these brown ones cost my about $2 to make, the grey ones not much more.
So that most of the crafting. I’m starting to get a few ideas of things I’d like to make for Christmas, so you might see some of those things appearing soon.
The garden is coming along pretty good, broadbeans and peas are growing well, and almost all the seeds I planted have sprouted. As I don’t have my seedling house this year the neighbour have offered to let me grow my seedlings in her glasshouse. Nice eh?
Well, that all I can think of right now, but I’ll be back when I can think of something deep and meaningful to say.
