Pink Hex’s

I started this quilt ages ago. I had started with some inspiration from Material Obsession 2.  But being the awkward person I am, I immediately wanted a different number of Hexes and a different size.  So it went from being a rectangle quilt to a hexagon quilt, though now the sides are filled in and it’s actually 12 sided it’s called a Dodecagon (yes I had to google that).

I LOVE the pinks.  Lots of the fabrics used in this quilt are out of print and hard to find, I’ve been storing them for a few years now.  I think I will be very sad to sell this one when it’s finished, but I just can’t see a place for it here.  Do you make quilts you love but know you’re not going to keep??

So, 1 more top complete from my list.  Woohoo!!

Dear Microwave…..

How I miss you.

I thought I could live without you, but I’m not sure I can.

I miss being able to reheat things (quickly and without making more dishes).

I miss your defrosting for me when I forget to get the meat out for dinner or bread out for lunches.

My cups of tea go cold and get tipped out because I can’t make them warm again. 

You were too young to die that way, only 20, still you had a busy life and make things easy for us.

Damn you convenience!!
