I was in real danger of being late with my bee blocks this month. It might not be a big deal to some people, but I HATE to be late. I used to always be early or on time, but I have noticed in the last few years that I’ve been slipping into the habit of being late or almost late quite often. As it’s a trait that I loathe I’m doing my best to get back on track.
So I worked hard this week and got the 3 remaining bee blocks completed.
Zig-zag blocks for Joanna – Beatnik bee. These should have been simple, but due to my illogical nature they were not. I got them done in the end but they took about twice as long as they should have.
Square in a square blocks (ala Denyse Schmit) for Kelly – Solid Bee. I loved making this. I really get into blocks without structure, that I can just cut and sew as i go, with no real plan.
Last but not least – a block for Kathy – Bee White Black. We were given almost free rein with this block, it just had to have a heart or flower on it somewhere. I was stumped for ages as to what block to use for the background. Well I like the one I finally chose, I can only hope that Kathy does too.
So that’s me, bees all done for October. I can expect some of the November packages to come in the post next week. I’m going to get each one done the day it arrives.
I’ll be back to post again tomorrow, I have something very cute to show off, and we are getting new piglets (all going well). They should arrive late tomorrow morning.
