I managed to finish 3 out of 4 quilts on my to-do list. I thought I’d show you pics of the last 2 (you’ve seen the first one a few weeks ago).
This quilt has been in progress for ages, but I finally decided to get on with the quilting. I really need to remind myself before starting to quilt how much I hate following the line on fabric, it’s much easier to follow the lines in your head instead. The finished quilt is lovely though. I really like the way the silk backing gives it an old fashioned Eiderdown feel.
With the weather so bad and dark so early it’s hard to get good pics of quilts at the moment. It’s just big enough to be a topper on a queen size bed.
Some pics of the back……
I have also finished the flying geese quilt. I’m just adding a wee bit of handquilting. I’ve never done handquilting before, I tried once ages ago, but didn’t like it, but I sat down last night and stitched for about 2 hours. I found it really relaxing and liked the effect. I can see lots more handquilting in the future.
Both these quilts will be in the shop sometime soon.
I finally got around to lining Cam’s Robot jacket, and liked it so much that I’ve made one for the shop, but in different colours. Cam was not happy about having to model it for me. Gorgeous cream and blue wool with fish buttons. This is in the shop now.
