May was a very lucky month for me. So this post is full of links to all the lovely people who made May special.
I’d really like to pass on huge thanks to Julia from Coco Kids. I bought some nappy inserts from Julia for the nappies I was making for my neighbour. Inside the parcel was a gorgeous hand knitted hat for Cameron. Julia and the other Coco Kids ladies are the most fabulous knitters. The hat was gratefully received and has been put to good use since it came. The pics do not do it justice.
The next thanks go to Jenny who sent me a parcel for a Pay it Forward I won a bit over a year ago. I’d forgotten about it, so it was lovely to get a surprise. Jenny sent me a lovely handknitted headband (caliometry?), which is fantastic, as hats look really bad on me, but this is just perfect, and some yummy chocky too. Thanks Jenny.
Big thanks to the folks at EQ, who gave me the opportunity to win a copy of EQ7, which is fab, I’ve been having a bit of a play If you’ve thought about getting EQ, you should, it’s really neat.
I bought quite a bit of fabric in May (supplies) and one seller stood out from all the rest, Amber at Sweet Kapua has just had a baby, but that didn’t stop my purchase from being here in less than a week. Here’s a pic of what I got.
Thanks to Lara for the awesome May ALFALC swap. Most of the people I swap with are international but this month I asked for someone local and was paired up with Lara, who is in a quilting bee with me. We met up on the weekend and swapped parcels. Look at the lovely things I got
May has been really busy for me, lots of orders of kids clothing, quilts and shop purchases, so a really big thanks to all those supporting my shop and my desire to stay at home and sew.
