would be the word of the day. I have achieved nothing of note for the last few days except a few quilting bee blocks. I’m afraid to count exactly how many quilts I have in progress at the moment. I can’t seem to get in the right mood to work on any of them. I tried to work on one, but now that I have cut out and sewn all the quarter square triangles and 8 inch squares I don’t like the way it looks together, too busy!! Maybe too many prints? But I’ve tried to rework it 3 times so far, but still don’t like it. What to do?? I’m not rich enough to write off $70 worth of fabric. Bugger. I really feel like i should complete something though. Who stole my quilting mojo??????? If it was you, can you bring it back???
Unproductive……

Hmm – busy? yes. What about breaking it up with some solid strips of colour (a single dark one) between some of the blocks?
Have you tried it with the same coloured triangles around some of the orange and blue squares with a sashing around a 9 patch???? or maybe a bigger block here and there (size of 4 patches). Love the colours
I must admit that it probably does look a bit busy, but like Joanne said above, solid strips of colour between the blocks would work well.
I love the “busy”-ness! I think it just needs a large border to allow the eye to rest and it is all ready to go!!
I must love the planning/piecing stage of quilting because I have multiple tops ready to go and no desire to finish them!
I think it need some pieces like you did on my quilt, then it wouldnt be quite so busy, and a nice wide border. Sorry I didnt steal your mojo!!!!!!
oooh… i hate that feeling when you just can’t figure things out… I made a wee coin quilt using the same prints (it’s on my blog at the moment)… I thought it was looking a bit busy too, but the white sashing made the difference. So maybe sash with white – so blocks of 4, then sashed in white? hope you mojo finds it way home soon. I find just browsing flickr helps
