A new quilt top

I saw this quilt over at Amanda Jean’s, tutorial over at Moda Bakeshop, and decided that would make good use on my leftover Heather Ross squares, which I wanted to make into a wee boys cot quilt.  Super easy.  I just need to add a border or two, and then it’s almost done.

Garden update

Opps, I forgot about doing the garden update.  The weather has been cold the last few days, today is the first day in a week that we haven’t had any frost.  I’m glad that my seedlings are still safe in the woodshed, though the corn is looking a bit sad

Check out the frost on the cabbages (which have failed to grow into anything decent this year).

The upside to frosty mornings is the lovely warm days

The nasturtiums have come up…

And the corn………..

We’ve planted corn 3 years now, but only had a good harvest the first time.  Here’s hoping for a repeat of season one.

Gherkins, beans, coriander and cucumbers……..

My peas have come up in the garden.  No broadbeans yet though.
